This year saw Rosalie’s 2nd Easter. I filmed a little video of her first Easter and it is lovely to look back on so I thought I would do the same again this year. We had no plans or traditions to stick to this year, just a few days off, all together, to rest. That said we did end up with a rather jam packed weekend. What with visiting both families and celebrating daddy’s birthday. We did manage to get a few lazy mornings on the sofa!
On Good Friday we decided last minute we would take Rosalie to a trampoline park. We had a lovely pub lunch on the way and then headed off for an afternoon of bouncing. I thought Rosalie would love it, but because it was the Easter holidays it was filled with lots of big kids. I mean teenagers! Trying to contain a bounding toddler was a stressful experience. Daddy had a great time doing back flips though. We lasted about an hour before calling it a day. Once home, we curled up on the sofa and watched happy feet.
On Saturday we went to visit Nanna, Grandma and Grandpa. We had a lovely Roast dinner and Rosalie had another Easter Egg hunt. This time inside because the weather was awful. Rosalie loved finding all the eggs. Her surprised face every time she found an egg was hilarious.
Easter Sunday was spent at Nanny Tracy’s House as Nick’s sister came down to visit. Rosalie’s two Great Grandparents Grampy Ron and Nanny Pat were there too. We had a lovely day, we ate a glorious roast dinner and far too many Easter eggs. We stayed there until the evening, lounging on the sofa and watching the queen at 90 on the tele, I do love the Queen!
Easter Monday was Nick’s birthday. I didn’t plan too much as Nick doesn’t like to be too busy. Rosalie and I let daddy have a lie in whilst we played downstairs. We delivered him his presents and then got ready to go to lunch at a local pub we like.
All in all it was a lovely long weekend, even if it did turn out to be a busy one. You can watch our Easter Weekend Video over on my YouTube Channel. If you enjoyed this please subscribe so you won’t miss out on our future videos. It’s FREE! Just press the red button.
