Sorting through my children’s clothes is one of my most dreaded jobs. I am so emotionally attached to their old clothes. I find it really hard to get rid of them.

To make it a little easier for both myself, and the girls, I like to turn it into a game. Firstly, we name each corner of the room; recycle, pass on and keep. We then go through each item in the wardrobe, making a decision on which pile the clothing should go in as we go. Once we’ve decided where the items going to go, we do the appropriate action, and run and throw it in the pile.

The recycle pile I’ll take to a charity shop. The pass on pile I’ll hold back for a sibling in the future. I have 3 girls so I try to buy quality pieces that I can pass down to each child. The keep pile is put away for next year.

The gorgeous outfits the girls are wearing are from Kinderkind who have kindly sponsored this post. The topdress and trousers are not only stylish but also include wholesome positive affirmations which is such a lovely touch. Kinderkind share our recycle ethos. Their identity is rooted in kindness between brothers and sisters, parent and child, family and friends.
