Mother’s Day is fast approaching. A day to celebrate ME! I still find it quite strange that I am a mother now and can count myself as part of this club.
I have been thinking about how I would like to spend my day. I am a simple being and a lazy day with my loved ones would be just perfect.
First of all, I’d like a lie in. I’d like to wake up to the world slowly. To lie, ALONE, in the middle of the bed, soaking up the morning sunlight as it filters through the blinds.
When I’m ready, I’ll slip my feet into a waiting pair of slippers, a new pair would be nice! I’ll wander downstairs to the smell of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee.
I’d give my gorgeous girl a big cuddle. She is, of course, the one that made me a mama and the reason I get this special treatment.
We’d all sit down to a delicious breakfast together, Eggs Benedict, my favourite. Cooked by my husband, and I am sure Rosalie would like to help too.
Toasted muffins, layered with crispy bacon and an egg poached to perfection, drizzled with hollandaise sauce, from a packet, we don’t want anything too taxing…
In the afternoon we’d go and visit Nanny and Grandma to deliver them their gifts. If you’re looking for gift inspiration for your mama, take a look at these Mother’s Day gifts. Debenhams has it all beauty gifts, flowers, jewellery, and slippers!… Ahem… Mr Cantwell.
How will you be spending your Mother’s Day? Will you be buying anything for your Mum?
