I do love a Christmas Tree. There is something so magical about coming down the stairs on a dark December morning, turning on your fairy lights and sitting on the sofa in the flickering glow whilst you sip your morning coffee and slowly wake up to the world.
We have gone for a Copper and White theme this year. The biggest shock of all is that I think I have finally come round to the idea of having a REAL Christmas Tree. Not this year obviously, I am not a masochist and there is no way I am decorating another tree. But, it’s a revelation! I have never really been a fan of real trees. They are a bit sparse for my liking.
This year Rosalie and I went Christmas Tree picking with Nick’s Mum. We went to the Christmas Tree Barn at Christmas Common. If you live nearby I URGE you to go.
It was the most gloriously festive place. They had a little shop, in a wooden barn. It’s perfect! As soon as you walk through the door it’s like stepping into Christmas.
They have every decoration you could possible imagine, and so many trees! All Opulently dressed and overflowing with decorations. I spontaneously bought a few new tree decorations from here as I just couldn’t resist, I was overcome with festiveness! The smell, oh the smell. It’s like some wonderful, winter spice infused tonic to warm your soul… There are no words. You must go there and smell for yourself. I want to go back there every Year.
And I shall as next year I am going to give a Real tree a whirl!
