Pregnancy Update – 33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks and 3 days Pregnant.

Maternity clothes:
Yes, I am mainly wearing maternity dresses and now I am being forced to
wear trainers. I never wear trainers, I only own about two pairs and one of
them is a pair of running trainers! These converse are getting a lot of use.

Stretch marks: No stretch marks. I am applying bump to
baby cream morning and night now to help stop them.
Sleep: I think last week’s post has tempted fate. Since Saturday
I haven’t been sleeping well at all. I wake up at around 3am and then I can’t
get back to sleep. I was lying awake thinking about when we need to ask different people to come round to do different bits of work on the kitchen. Today I am pooped. I also have lots
to do this week so hopefully if I work really hard tonight I will sleep the whole night through
due to exhaustion.

Best moment this week: Lots of progress is being made on
the kitchen which is very exciting.
Miss anything? Being able to wear sandals 🙁

Movement: Lots of movement still. I am beginning to feel
her poking things, organs I think! And I can now see the movements rather than
just feel them. Gone are the days of the little flutters.

Anything making you queasy or sick? I felt travel sick on
a car journey to Ikea on sunday. I had to pull over and everything! I managed
to not actually be sick this time though.

Gender: Girl. I hope! She has a lot of pink stuff. If it
turns out I am having a boy he will have to wear pink at first :-s
Labour signs: Nope

Symptoms: Foot pain in the arch of my left foot. I
googled foot pain in pregnancy and I read that you can develop flat feet during
pregnancy due to the extra weight you are carrying. I went to see the
podiatrist yesterday and she advised that my arch still looks quite high. She thinks
that she thinks the extra weight I have gained in a short space of time sue to pregnancy has
caused my plantar fascia to become strained which is causing the foot pain. It
was so bad at the end of last week I could hardly walk. She has advised that I
wear orthotics in my shoes which is why I am being forced to wear trainers. I
have only been wearing them a few days and I have already noticed an improvement
though so I think it is helping.
I asked the podiatrist if there are any sandals I could
wear that would help. As I get towards the end I am sure my feet are going to
swell and it is getting increasingly difficult to get my trainers on with a
bump in the way. She suggested, crocs, fit flops or Birkenstocks. I am so vain
I cannot bring myself to wear crocs or fit flops so I will be purchasing a pair
of Birkenstocks this evening!
No other symptoms really apart from not sleeping and lots of movements. I dont think it will be long untill I can see hand prints poking out.
Belly button in or out? Out.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. And tired.

Looking forward to: not being pregnant anymore.
