Birthday Gift Guide

Tomorrow is my birthday. The big 28. Birthday’s seem  to have lost their lustre in recent years. They just aren’t that exciting anymore. Rosalie’s birthday is in 3 weeks time, she will be turning 2. Now that is something to get excited about. I will be telling you all about her birthday celebration plans soon.

Back to my birthday. Nick is working in the day and then we have a wedding reception to attend in the evening. I’ll probably head in to town with my mum for some shopping and a nice lunch out but that’s about it. I haven’t requested anything specific from Nick this year so I doubt I’ll get anything.
I thought I’d put together this little gift guide to give him some ideas, you know if he accidentally stumbles across this post or spots my prompts on ALL forms of social media.
Lush gift set – Any gift set from Lush would be lovely although I am rather partial to the bubble bars so any that contain those earn you extra brownie points. I have had this Rosie gift set before and I love it. The Rose Jam Bubbleroon is my all time favourite Lush product.
Jo Malone – I would love to receive a Jo Malone Candle or perfume bottle for my birthday. Anything from Jo Malone really except the body lotion. I could think of nothing worse than opening up the beautifully packed box with ribbons and bows with such anticipation… to find…a body lotion.
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel – I have used this cleanser before, you can read my review of it. It’s recently ran out but I have been holding off buying a replacement mainly because of the price. My birthday is the perfect excuse to repurchase!
Aesop Hand wash – You might think hand wash is a strange birthday present to request but I have been lusting after this hand wash for a while. At £27.00 a bottle it is not cheap and considerably more expensive than the usual hand wash I buy but I think it’ll be worth it. It’ll look so pretty next to my kitchen sink and I can always refill the bottle with something else afterwards. Its an investment
Calvin Klein Underwear set – How comfy to these look? I like the idea of wearing my comfies but still looking stylish too. Nick actually suggested I should buy this set a few months ago and who am I to argue?
Harry Potter and the cursed child – A new HP book is out! Oh my goodness. I am secretly hoping SOMEONE, hopefully my mum, has already bought this for me for my birthday. Not that I have read a book since Rosalie was born but I’ll make time for Harry for sure.
YSL Purse – Ok, so this is a wish list item and so not going to happen as I can most certainly not justify the price but isn’t it beautiful? One day it will be mine and if you’re feeling spendy it can be yours too.
Givenchy Bag – I’m dreaming again… I have been wondering what designer bag  I will buy for my future self for a while now. I used to say I wanted a mulberry handbag but I’ve kind of gone off those now. Dare I say it, they seem a little dated?! I settled on this gorgeous Givenchy Antigona bag. It’s not too big, and not too small, just perfect!
Spa Day – I can’t actually remember the last time I went to a spa. I think I was pregnant at the time. One whole day to myself. Just me, myself and a spa therapist. Bliss.
Vouchers – If all else fails and you really don’t know what to buy, you can always count on vouchers. My personal favourites are Asos, where you can find this jumpsuit, Ikea and H and M Home. Yes I am sure I could find lots of gorgeous spoils for myself in there.
So there you have it, I am not too hard to buy for am I? I hope this helps when deciding what birthday gifts to buy for your girl, or girls, at least you now have some things to ask for!
