How far along? 38 weeks and 3 days.
Maternity clothes: My bump has got so big that a lot of my maternity dresses are now becoming too short :-s Just trying to keep going with what I have now as hopefully it won’t be for much longer.
Stretch marks: No stretch marks. Still applying body butter morning and night. I’m hoping this will keep them away.
Sleep: Not good at all. The last two nights I haven’t slept well at all. I can sleep till about 1.30am but then lie awake until gone 3am. I’m actually writing this at 3.47am. Hideous!
Best moment this week: Hmm, after Wednesday I do not have anything planned which will be nice. I’m tired. The not sleeping and busy-ness is taking its toll. I have also got the last few bits for my hospital bag so I am now all packed. We are just waiting for the baby to make an appearance. I’m desperate to meet her! I really hope she doesn’t keep us waiting.
Miss anything? Sleep.
Movement: Lots of movement. When she moves now you can see my whole tummy move. There are also lots of random lumps and bumps poking out.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Tonight, whilst lying in bed unable to sleep I have felt really sick. Like my dinner is about to come back up even though I ate dinner hours ago. I think the baby must have been pushing on something but it was most uncomfortable.
Gender: Girl.
Labour signs: I have been having cramping pains all day today. This evening I could feel my tummy going really tight so I think I was having Braxton Hicks.
I have started my labour inducing natural aids. I am still drinking the raspberry leaf tea daily and also had a bath with a few drops of clary sage oil in last night as I’ve heard that helps speed things up. We will see…
Symptoms: Cramps, possible Braxton hicks, hoping the baby won’t keep us waiting!
Belly button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. Just impatient, I’ve had enough now. I want her to be here.
Looking forward to: the baby being born!
