Pregnancy Update – 32 Weeks

 

32 Weeks Pregnant. Woah!

 

How far along? 32 weeks and 1 day

 

Due date? 7th May 2017

 

How is baby doing?  Baby is 42.4cm long and weighs 1,702 grams. She is still the size of a pumpkin. There isn’t too much space left inside my uterus now and don’t I know it! Baby’s movements have gradually increased week by week until now when they will plateau but not reduce. Baby will continue to move up to and during birth. The foetal position is becoming a familiar position for baby girl. She can now use all of the five sense. Baby girl is busy looking around, practising breathing, grabbing whatever is within reach, tasting amniotic fluid and listening to the sound of both mine and daddy’s voice. Baby weighs about 3 and ½ pounds at this point.

 

Maternity clothes: I still havn’t sorted out my holiday maternity clothes which I am going to do this evening. It’s such an effort. I’m still feeling quite tired and lack the motivation to do anything.

 

Stretch marks: No stretch marks yet. I have been applying body butter every night and I need to buy some more as I have now run out. My last lot stained the sheets as I bought an orange mango scented flavour so this time I am going to make sure I choose a white coloured one.

 

Sleep:  Sleep is not great. I no longer get a full nights sleep and wake up every few hours. I normally sleep on one side and then wake up and roll over to the other side for a few hours. I know this isn’t how you are meant to sleep but mama has got to get her sleep where she can!

 

Best moment this week: It hasn’t happened yet but at the end of the week we are going on holiday. We will be flying when I am 32 weeks and 6 days pregnant and I can’t wait.

 

Miss anything? Bending over is definitely a chore now and I am doing things at a lot slower pace.

 

Movement: Movement is still happening. I feel her move a lot which is a good thing. This week’s update said that baby girl’s movements will now plateau which I am pleased about. She is such a wriggler!

 

Gender: It’s a Girl.

 

Labour signs: No labour signs. I’m a little achey down there but that’s about it.

 

Symptoms: General aches in my lower region. I feel like it takes me a long time to get anywhere now and we still have 8 weeks to go! Bump is getting bigger. I am starting to feel really hot, all of the time! and I nearly fainted at my waxing appointment last Saturday. I was rushing around all morning getting Rosalie ready and it was the first time I’d stopped and laid down.

 

Anything making you queasy or sick? No.

 

Belly button in or out? Out.

 

Wedding rings on or off? On.

 

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy. Today is my last full week at work and this week is my last working week. This makes me happy.

 

How I feel? I feel good. I still feel like we have lots to do. This week is flying by. I have lots on with my last working week and preparing for our holiday. Then we are away and we still have lots of things to sort out in the girls bedrooms. Rosalie’s is very nearly finished. We just have some big items of furniture that we need to purchase when we get back from holiday and then I think her room will be pretty much there. I think I have pretty much decided on all the prints for the girl’s rooms now which is exciting.
