I was tagged by the lovely Fi over at A Mum Track Mind to do the Christmas Tag. I have already took part in the Vlogmas Christmas Tag which you can watch below but I thought I would do this one too as it’s slightly different and I am all about sharing festive cheer at this time of year!
What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
I don’t really have one… watching Christmas movies wasn’t something we did as a family when I was little so I haven’t actually seen that many Christmas films. I want christmas films to be part of Rosalie’s Christmas traditions though so I am determined to start watching more. Starting with the Polar express, is that a good one?
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Yes! A few years ago now we had a White Christmas and despite being in our 20’s my brother and I built an epic snowman.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
My Christmas has changed over the last few years. This year we are going to Nick’s mum’s house along with my Mum, Nan and Andy. We did this last year too and it was actually really fun. We ate until we could no longer move and then played silly games.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
Easy, Easy, EASY!!! I love Shaking Steven’s Merry Christmas Everyone.
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Not normally but we will be this year. As my Mum, Nan and Andy are coming to Nick’s mum’s on Christmas Day we wont be opening our presents as it’s a bit of a weird thing to do in front of people that don’t have any pressies, instead Nick’s family and I will open all our presents to each other on Christmas Eve.
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Donna, Blitzen, Prancer, Dancer, Rudolph? Wow, that was bad… that would be a NO then.
Which holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
We have lots! I wrote a post about our Christmas traditions. We have managed to tick quite a few off the list already, they include picking and decorating our tree, Christmas baking, wearing our festive pyjamas…
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
REAL! For the first time ever in my life I have a real Christmas tree and I am actually rather taken with it. I think I might have to have one every year.
What is your all time favourite holiday treat/food/sweet?
Oh my goodness! I love it all. I just like to eat everything so I am going to say Christmas dinner with lashings of gravy.
Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
Giving. I am so excited to see Rosalie’s face on Christmas morning. This is the first year she really understands Christmas and I think it’s going to blow her mind when she sees all her presents on Christmas morning!
What is the best Christmas present you ever received?
Ooo! This is a tough one. I don’t know, I have had too many wonderful presents over the years. I like lots of small presents rather than one big one. I am getting a rather lovely coat this year.
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I like to be at home at Christmas time.
Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I take present wrapping very seriously as you will see from my recent present wrapping inspiration post. I absolutely love prettying up my presents with fancy wrap. It’s half the fun of giving!
Most memorable Christmas moment?
Oh there are so many. I just love christmas and everything about it. It is my favourite time of year. I love the build up, I love christmas eve, I love christmas day and boxing day and all the time off up until New year. I think that now Rosalie is understanding christmas a little more it has made it even more exciting. I can’t wait to see her face when she comes down to all her gifts on christmas morning.
What made you realise the truth about Santa?
When I was little I used to get so excited by christmas I used to make myself ill. I also would do it before my birthday, halloween, holidays. One year I was so ill I was asleep on the sofa on christmas eve and I woke up in the evening to find my mum wrapping all of our presents. I think that was when it really hit home.
What makes the holidays special for you?
Being able to spend lots of time with my favourite people talking, eating, enjoying everyone’s company and playing silly games.
There you have it, A little run down of how we spend christmas. Feel free to join in with this tag if you’d like too!
I’m tagging these lovely blogger’s if you’d like to check out their festive plans too:::
Don’t forget to check out my christmas tag video below.
