It’s been a long time since I have filmed one of these. We have been away a few weekends in September and then Nick was away in Germany for a week. I just didn’t seem to get things together.
But now I am back. We are back to healthy eating. Nick is going hardcore and has started the OC method. A nutritional plan tailored specificly to his training schedule. He has to measure out exactly the right amount of protein, carbohydrates and fats every meal.
This seems like way to much hard work for me, coupled with my lack of exercise I didn’t really see the point so I am just doing my own thing. When I eat I am choosing healthier options.
This is our meal plan of dinner’s this week. Some of the recipes we may adapt a little to make them cleaner. We are making full use of our slow cooker!
Monday – Lamb shanks
Tuesday – Homemade burgers
Wednesday – Dinner at Nick’s mum’s house
Thursday – Pulled pork
Friday – Roasted Veg Pasta
You can find this week’s Grocery Haul with all the ingredients I’ll be using to make these meals below.

28th September 2016 at 11:08 AMI am so glad i came across this post as i was thinking the other day about meal planning. I tend to get to 3pm and have no idea what to do and i always wish i was that person that shopped only what we needed and then did a meal plan and i actually bought a meal planner last week to start doing that 🙂 I think it will be such a big help in my day to organise this, plus now it is autumn, i get to do lots more slow cooker meals which i LOVE x

28th September 2016 at 1:20 PMAww cool. I find it makes dinner times much less stressful when I know what I’m going to cook. The slow cooker has been brilliant. I do as much as I can the night before to so all I have to do is turn it on in the morning. xx

28th September 2016 at 6:14 PMI need to start meal planning again. We waste so much food and money by shopping aimlessly. Those lamb shanks look amazing. I’ll definitely be getting my slow cooker out again this autumn and winter x

28th September 2016 at 9:26 PMOh man I could not cope with any strict eating plan with lots of weighing and calculating. Sounds like a week of tasty meals, I think slow cookers are the best. I used to be so good at meal planning but have got really lazy with it over the summer.

29th September 2016 at 8:55 AMUs too! Which is why I am trying to get back into it. It is soooo annoying. He spends about an hour a night measuring it all out and messing up my kitchen!
