The 5th place we visited on our Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise was Valencia.
You can take a look at my previous posts to see how we spent our days in Gibraltar, Barcelona, Nice and Rome.
After a busy day in Rome the day before we wanted to do something fun for Rosalie during our stop in Valencia. We settled on a visit to the Oceanographic Valencia. Rosalie loves fish so we thought she would enjoy this.
We arrived at the Oceanographic at 9am but unfortunately we found it didn’t open until 10am, Oops! Luckily there was a shopping Centre nearby so we headed over there to do some exploring. Most of the shops in the Centre Comercial El Saler didn’t open until 10am either but we found a café that was open so we had a coffee whilst the girls played on the little 1 euro rides.
At 10 am we finally got into the aquarium. There were 5 areas in total and each one was divided into oceans/seas of the world. We wandered around looking at all the exhibits. Rosalie was in her element and didn’t know where to look. We saw lots of fish as well as sharks, whales, sea lions, penguins, tortoises and flamingos. We also went to see the afternoon dolphin show which Rosalie loved.
There was a lovely little play park that the girls enjoyed playing on. They spent ages going up and down the slide and running around together giggling.
We bought Rosalie a little souvenir from the gift shop before leaving the oceanographic. We walked back to the Centre Comercial El Saler for a sneaky little shop before catching a taxi back to the dock to board our ship.
Another fantastic day with our little ones. I’ve included some of the photo’s from our day in Valencia below:
If you’d like to see more of what we got up to in Valencia, you can take a look at our Cruise Holiday Vlogs over on my youtube channel.
