I have a study! It’s the perfect home office. Here are my tips for how to make the most of your work space.
We needed more room and started to look at ways we could create more space in our home. We had two options. We could convert our loft space with the use of roof windows or we could convert our integral garage. We settled on the latter.
It’s finally finished and I am so excited to have a workspace of my very own! I have been shopping for office supplies for months. I thought I’d share with you my essential items for making the most of your workspace.
I love lists. I have a million notes in my iphone but sometimes its nice to actually write them down with a pen and paper. There is something very satisfying about ticking a task of the list, deleting it just doesn’t quite cut it. I have two to do lists and both were picked up in stationary sets from Aldi. I find using a to do list really helps me stay on track.
A tape dispenser is a must, it’s something I reach for multiple times a day, this simple black one is from Ikea. I store it on my desk. It not only looks good but its extremely practical.
The little pink adhesive notepad was an item that came in one of the Aldi stationary sets. Along with the pink to do list and office accessory organiser filled with gold stationary. The gold bull dog clips are perfect for attaching notes to my grid noticeboard that I found on Ebay. Everyone needs some golden paper clips right?
I picked up both the mint and black lever arch files in Wilkinsons. Nick has a lot of work papers that I have hidden away in these folders. They look good on my open shelving whilst keeping all his work organised.
The black storage boxes hide a multitude of items from my sewing box to my camera equipment. I love how all my most used items now have a place to live. All the relevant things are stored together in their own box so nothing gets lost.
I think having a desk that is well stocked but organised is key to making the most of your office workspace. You need to have a home for all your office necessities without your work area being cluttered. Good storage is key. Be that paper organisation in the form of paper clips and pins or larger storage like boxes and files.
I think having a clean, organised workspace helps me stay on track so I can make the most of my workspace.
