I had been searching website after website for a stylish baby seat that didn’t cost the earth.
When Rosalie was a baby she took all her naps in her bouncy chair and it was so handy as I could pick her up and move her from room to room. It was a must have baby item first time round and I knew I would need one again. Of course I could have used the same one but baby seats are so much prettier these days! I knew I would be using it constantly and that it would be out on show so I settled on the Joie Dreamer Baby Bouncer. We have been using it for 8 weeks now and so I wanted to share with you my thoughts on it.
WHAT IS THE JOIE DREAMER BABY BOUNCER?
The Joie Dreamer Bouncer is a stylish baby seat suitable from newborn up to 13kg. The compact frame has a variety of extra features to help settle baby both at home and on the go.
The Dreamer baby bouncer gently rocks back and forth and is activated with a gentle push, or when baby moves. It also plays a selection of lullabies, nature sounds, and has a soothing vibration function to help soothe baby.
We are currently using it as a place for Maeve to sit in our living room. It’s so handy having a spot I can put Maeve in, knowing that she is safe and secure.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
When we received the baby bouncer I was impressed with how easy it was to put together. The instructions were easy to follow and I managed to do it all by myself!
I love the look of the dreamer baby bouncer. The linen fabric is super stylish. Most baby items are covered in cutesy character designs which I don’t really like. This looks great and fits in perfectly with my living room decor. I’d actually like a sofa in the same fabric!

WHAT I THINK
I love using the Dreamer Baby Bouncer, it has really come into its own in the last month or so. It is an item that I find myself using every, single day. Maeve is rather a big baby and as much as I love baby snuggles I am finding that holding her all evening, every night, has started to hurt my shoulder. Also with a toddler to look after, there are times during the day when I need to put Maeve down. When I do, the dreamer baby bouncer is the perfect place.
I find it essential to have a base for Maeve in every room. I simply do not know how I’d survive without one! We use the highchair in the kitchen and I have this bouncer chair and a moses basket in our living room. Now Maeve is becoming more alert the moses basket isn’t her favourite place. She’ll only really be happy in there if she is asleep. The bouncy chair is somewhere Maeve likes to be and will happily settle in whilst I busy myself with the daily chores. She enjoys looking at the hanging star toys and these were one of the first things she used to focus on.
Maeve often falls asleep in her bouncy chair. When she does, the lightweight design means I can easily carry Maeve and the bouncy chair from room to room if I need to without waking her. We tend to leave the bouncy chair up all the time, but the compact fold means that the bouncer can be folded away easily if you are short of space. This also makes it perfect for travel.
If Maeve won’t settle the dreamer bouncer chair has a selection of lullabies and nature sounds as well as a vibration function to help soothe her. I find the vibration function invaluable and it will usually settle Maeve after a few minutes. I don’t tend to use the lullabies very often to settle Maeve as they are quite loud although Rosalie loves to turn them on and dance around the living room!
The Dreamer Baby Bouncer can be used as a stationary seat with the use of the stop foot, or I have ours set up as a rocker. This means I can gentle rock Maeve back and forth if she wont settle. It is also activated by Maeve’s own movements so if she isn’t quite asleep or wakes up a little to have a stretch, her movements will set the bouncer rocking and this will usually send her off again.
WOULD I RECOMMEND?
Yes I would recommend the Joie Dreamer Baby Bouncer. It has made juggling the needs of my two children so much easier.
It is a baby product that I use constantly and it retails at such a competitive price that I definitely think it is worth the money. It does a fantastic job of settling Maeve and keeping her nice and cosy as well as looking the part too.
The Joie Dreamer Baby Bouncer retails for £60.00 and you can find it over on the Kiddie’s Kingdom Website.
Do you have a bouncy chair for your baby? I’m not sure how I’d live without ours!
*We were sent the Joie Dreamer Baby Bouncer free of charge in return for a review. All opinions are my own and 100% honest.
