Miscarriage No.2 – 7 week Update

It feels a little strange doing these pregnancy updates so early on because if I’m honest I haven’t experienced any symptoms at all. I had an inkling I was pregnant as I hadn’t had a period since my miscarriage in November but apart from that nothing has been noticeably different.
I only started to do pregnancy updates with Rosalie when I began to show which was at about 20 weeks so I missed half her pregnancy. I wanted to start from the very beginning this time so I can record the whole pregnancy from start to finish.
So here we go…
How far along? 7 weeks and 2 days
Due date? The 27th August 2016
How is baby doing? Baby is the size of a blueberry. It is 1.3cm in length and it weighs 0.5g.The baby’s tooth buds are forming and its leg and arm buds have grown longer and are begging to segment into fingers and toes. The bay’s belly is taking shape and the pancreas and appendix are developing inside. The baby’s brain is growing and so are the eye lenses. I find it so amazing that the bay’s eye colour is decided as it was determined at conception. I wonder if this baby will have beautiful blue eyes like Rosalie.
Maternity clothes:  No. My Jeans are definitely a little tight but I think this has more to do with my excessive Christmas eating than this pregnancy. I will soon have to go back to my trusty high waisted American apparel leggings.
Stretch marks: No stretch marks. I haven’t been applying and body butter but now I have found out I am pregnant I will start to apply it nightly.
Sleep: Sleep hasn’t been too bad. Up until I found out I was expecting again my sleep was like normal. I wasn’t getting out to go to the loo and I was sleeping right through. The last two nights I have had to get out for a wee in the middle of the night. Rosalie woke up at 2.30am last night and after getting up to see to her I couldn’t get back to sleep so I’m struggling a little this morning.
Best moment this week: Finding out I was pregnant. I found out when I was exactly 7 weeks pregnant according to my calculations. I haven’t booked a doctors or midwife appointment yet so I will do that this week.
Miss anything? Not yet! After only just realising I was pregnant I haven’t really had to give anything up yet. I did think about giving up caffeine but after a sleepless night last night I decided today wasn’t the day. I may talk to my doctor to see whether this is necessary. I am limiting my caffeine intake, and only having one cup of coffee a day.
Movement: Nope I haven’t felt a thing this time round.
Gender: Obviously we don’t know yet. I still really really want it to be a boy.
Labour signs: Nope.
Symptoms: None to speak of. Although I have had bad skin for many many weeks. I had it through my last pregnancy, then I miscarried and my hormones were all over the show and now I am pregnant again so I have had terrible skin for a while now. They are definitely hormonal spots as they are big, lumpy, under the skin spots and they are mainly around my mouth. My skin did get better as my pregnancy progressed with Rosalie so fingers crossed this happens again.
Anything making you queasy or sick? No although I did try and swallow my pregnancy vitamin without water this morning and it made my gag. I have been taking folic acid with added vitamin D since my miscarriage so this may be helping with the nausea.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On. They shall be staying on for the whole time… hopefully.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy.

How I feel?
I am very happy to find out we are expecting again. It’s such a relief. I just hope this baby sticks around. I will be doing all I can to help it. Stay strong little one.
Looking forward to: Getting my scan date. I have random periods and I had negative text results all through the early weeks of pregnancy. I didn’t get a positive test until 20 days after my missed period. I therefor think I have ovulated late. I think I am more likely to be only 5 weeks pregnant which would mean baby would be sue at the end of June. I would like to have that date confirmed so I know exactly how far gone I am.

UPDATE: I had a 2nd miscarriage at approximately 4/5 weeks based on the doctors calculations. By the time I had a blood test to confirm my HCG levels, Doctors advised my hormone levels were too low to register as a pregnancy.
