NBN Awards

A few weeks back I attended the Next Blogger Event. I was so pleased to be invited, if a little nervous to be attending my first EVER blog event.

The event was held in London at the Trendy Soho Hotel. I arrived a little early but it was ok as we were treated to a delicious breakfast. Pastries, coffee and bacon sandwiches.

We had a mingle and I met lots of lovely fellow bloggers. As well as my bestest blogger buddy, Josie from Not just a dress (She is one stylish mama, go and give her blog a looksie)

We were then invited in to the eagerly anticipated panel session with Danielle from Idle Lane, Jen from LoveChicLiving, Sammi from Beauty Crush and Rosie Fortescue from Made in Chelsea.

We had 2 hours with them. All 4 speakers run successful blogs. They shared the highs and lows of blogging and their secrets to blogging success. I found everything they had to say so interesting and relevant. Those 2 hours went by in a flash!

Next it was lunch, which was epic! Mini pulled pork sliders, chips, delicious salads and not forgetting an impressive dessert table. Once we had our fill, everyone took their seats to watch the Next Blogger Networks First Awards Ceremony.

Now I was a little nervous, Alice from Next had already given me a little heads up that I had been nominated for an award a few days before. I was so pleased to be nominated but I didn’t expect for one minute that I would pick up an award.

I was absolutely thrilled to hear my name being called out. I had won Runner up in the ‘Best in Youtube’ Category. I got to shake Rosie’s hand. I was rather excited about this, Rosie doesn’t come over very well on Made in Chelsea but after hearing Rosie speak. She is so down to earth and hardworking, just a really lovely girl. I’m so pleased I got the chance to meet her.
