Baby Keepsake Gift – Product Review

Today is a special day. I will be writing my first ever product review. I haven’t blogged a product review before, mainly because people don’t send me stuff. I know, so sad! 😉

Also because if I decide to spend my hard earned cash on something most of the time I’ve done my research and I already know its going to be good. I mainly buy things we need and I don’t think they’d be that interesting. No one wants to know about Sarah’s new potato peeler. A product is going to have to be pretty outstanding to make me want to write about it.
In this case, I have broken the mould because the product is so damn cool and the owner and creater of keepsakes from my sewing room is exceptionally lovely.
So here they are…
These aren’t just ANY teddy bear and giraffe stuffed toys, allbeit a very cute TB and giraffe friend. No, these are made out of their destined owners old baby clothes. How cool is that?!

The Giraffe belongs to Rosalie and will be one of her Christmas presents. It’s so lovely to look at and think of all the times, when she was a teeny tiny little newborn, and she wore the different sleepsuits. It’s so much nicer to have something out on display than to package them all up and put them in the loft with the other outgrown clothes. It will also be something that when Rosalie is older, we can tell her about, and it will make her little giraffe extra special.

The teddy bear was a gift for my god daughter and regular feature of the blog, Olivia, to celebrate her 1st birthday. It did mean I had to send her poor old mum up into the attic to sort through Livvy’s old clothes but I’m sure she didn’t mind!

I think this is such a wonderful gift and something unique that you know no one else will get. If your struggling to think of a gift for someone this Christmas then it is perfect. Not only will the child or baby you are buying it for get a beautiful hand crafted cuddly toy, but it will have lots of wonderful memories attached.

The attention to detail is amazing. Gemma from keepsakes from my seeing room designs and hand makes your creation herself. She chooses the fabrics for you out of the selection you send her and as if by magic (I think she must have had lessons from the Christmas Elves!) turns them into a beautiful keepsake. She then adds any personalisation you choose. I opted for name, date of birth and weight. I now know that I will always have a reminder to hand for the important information!

Gemma is also a very speedy worker and if she can she will try and meet any deadlines you have. I left my order till the last minute but Gemma made sure I had the keepsakes in time for Olivia’s birthday which I am very grateful for.

If your interested in purchasing a keepsake for a loved one you can find all the information you need on the keepsakes from my sewing room website or by looking at their Facebook page. If your confused, like I was, you can just email Gemma directly and she will talk you through the ordering process.

I’m so thankful for the toys Gemma made for my girls. I know they will become treasured keepsakes for years to come.
