House Renovation – Guest Bedroom/Study – Part 2

As you all know we are in a mad rush to get every room in our house decorated before our baby arrives.

We decided to come home a couple of days early from our break away in Cornwall to crack on with the DIY. It meant we had three whole days of work on the house.

I started off with the glossing in the guest bedroom/study. I painted the skirting boards, window sill and door frame. We are keeping the carpet in this room so Nick couldn’t be trusted to do the skirting for fear he would cover the carpet in paint too.

I then scraped off all the old paint from the plug sockets and light switches. Believe me, there was A LOT of paint, in a variety of different colours. I don’t think the paint had ever been cleaned off so it took a while. I gave the windows a clean and the carpet a good hoover.

The room is now all ready for the furniture to be moved in and the room to be dressed. The fun stuff! Yey!
