Simple Night

I suffer with my skin. I am 27 years old, a mother and I STILL have a face full of spots. I don’t expect this will change as my own mother is the same. As a result my skincare routine has always been very hit and miss.

One of my New year’s resolutions is to find a skin care routine that works for me and to stick to it!
I always cleanse, I apply day cream every day but night cream is a step I always seem to forget.
I find a lot of night creams can be too heavy for my oily skin. I have quite sensitive eyes so finding an eyecream that doesn’t make my eyes all puffy can also be a challenge. On the search for a new overnight duo I decided to go back to basics. Simple. You can’t get more simple than Simple. If my skin is suffering I always go back to Simple as I know it is a failsafe range that won’t break me out or cause a reaction. The night and eye cream duo I chose did not disappoint.
The Vital Vitamin night cream feels thick and luxurious but not overly heavy. It soaks into my skin quickly yet my skin still feel’s nourished come morning. It’s lovely and very affordable.
I never really bother with eye cream but I am reaching the age now where I really, really need to. Those lines! My eyes can be very sensitive so finding an eye cream that doesn’t cause a reaction can be difficult. The soothing eye balm is light in texture, I dab it under my eye and it soon sinks in. My eyes feel refreshed and those fine lines are definitely less visible. Since using this cream I have noticed my eye makeup applies better too!
I am so pleased to have found some products that are working for my skin right now, I just need to remember to apply them each night!Do you have any night or eye cream recommendations?

I love it when I find a great routine. What really helped me was an appointment I had at a dermatologists (destination skin). They recommended some great treatments and some brilliant products that I love.

I would love to see a proper dermatologist. I find a lot of 'skin care experts' don't actually know what they are talking about. I will definitely look into destination skin. Thank you for the recommendation lovely xx

I don't have a skincare routine at all – I am so bad like that.

I actually picked up some Simple cleanser and toner the other day with the intention of trying to get into a routine but I've yet to actually use it yet.

My youngest daughter has very sensitive skin, and the only brand that works for her is Simple. It really suits her skin. Kaz x

I'm obsessed with Simple. I have really really sensitive skin and there's a lot of big brand names that I can't use at all because my face reacts. Simple is one of two that I've ever been happy with x

I suffered bad acne for years but I found teatree products and witch hazel really helped to clear it up. It also smells lovely. Worth a try?

I tried it all as a teenager too! Even had prescribed creams. Might be worth going back to tea tree. Xx

I've always loved Simple products. Now I use Liz Earle though and it is a great balance for my skin.

I really like kheils midnight recovery oil. I have sensitive skin too – it's hard finding the right product. Avene skin recovery cream is good too. I'm tying to take the more organic natural approach at the moment to see if it helps. Have a couple of reviews up on my blog for products I've tried http://www.ourwildthings.com (under the beauty link at the top there's a list) xx

Ha! I know the feeling Charlotte. I now try to at least once a week, usually on a Sunday night once Rosalie has gone to bed, to have a little pamper. I run a nice bath, usually with a nice lush bubble bar and put a face mask on. I feel it sets me up for the week then x

I'm the same hun, I've suffered with bad skin since my late teens/early twenties and it got worse when I had Lamb. Apparently it's more common for women to suffer in later life due to hormone changes. I haven't used Simple products for a while but I've always like them. I use No.7 stuff at the mo xx

I have also been suffering with my skin lately but found this great skin hair and nails supplement which I purchased from a Heath food shop and it has worked wonders my skin is completely clear. It has zinc in it and that is supposed to be great for the skin. X
