House Renovation – Nursery – The Reveal

This is Rosalie’s Nursery. Finished. kind of.

There are still a few areas I plan to update a little in the future. I want to change some of the Art hanging on the wall and add some book shelves but basically this is it. Here’s how we did it.

Floors and Walls

The walls are painted in Dulux cotton white.
The carpet is a neutral, sandy colour and this was here when we purchased the house. It’s really good quality so we have kept it.

Curtains

The curtains are from Dunelm Mill. They were made to measure for our dining room but they no longer go with our kitchen/diner so I wanted to repurpose them. The fabric is called Tilly.

Cot

The Cot bed is a silver cross nostalgia sleigh cot bed. We bought this at the baby show from kiddisave but I would not recommend buying from them. We ordered (and paid for!) the cot bed in March last year and it didn’t get delivered until mid August. It came only a week before Rosalie was born.
I love the cot bed itself. We had the opportunity to have the silver cross nostalgia cot bed delivered earlier but I am so glad I waited for the sleigh version. It’s much more traditional and fits in better with the other furniture in the nursery.

Bedding
This cot bedding is ridiculously overpriced but I fell in love and HAD to have it. I am going to cry the first time Rosalie pukes all over it. The cot bedding is from the little white company. I bought everything in this range, bumper, quilt, cushion and sheet. Oops!

Mobile

The mobile is the Trousellier Musical Mobile in the pink Rabbit Angel theme. I actually got mine on eBay for £18.00 so it’s worth taking a look there too.

This shelf was from eBay and it was £25.99.
Sleeping bag

The sleeping bag is from the little white company again.

WardrobeThe Wardrobe I had in my old bedroom when I lived at home. I brought it with me when we moved in.

Hamper

The hamper was a gift from friends at my baby shower. You can find similar on eBay.

Rocking chair

The rocking chair I bought on eBay for £20. It was a pine rocking chair and I painted it myself in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.
Cushion

The cushion on the rocking chair is from the little white company.
Lamp
This lamp was originally from Wilkinsons many moons ago. This is another item that was in my old bedroom when I still lived at home. I decoupaged the lamp shade myself.
This blog post on my decoupage lamp shows you how.
Chest of drawers/bedside table
This is again something that I had in my old bedroom and brought with me to our new house. I think they were originally from a pine shop.
Dressing gown
This was a gift for Rosalie. It is personalised and as her name on. It is from my first years.

This was again part of the pine furniture I had in my old bedroom.
Laundry baskets and storage baskets

The laundry basket and storage baskets are from eBay.
Nappy bin

The Nappy bin is from sangenic. We bought ours at the baby show last year but you can find them at mothercare.
Little chair
The little chair is very old but I repaired and painted it in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. You can see how in this baby chair make over blogpost.

Oh my! That nursery is just darling to behold. The furniture and decor pieces all look adorable and evoke a classy and quaint vibe. I particularly love the cute chair by the corner. Thank you so much for giving us a tour of that beautiful room! Wishing you all the best!

What a stunning nursery for a little girl. My daughter's in the process of creating a nursery for her baby due this year so I'll pass on all your tips. It's great that you've shared how and where to get various bits and pieces. You're a real inspiration and must also be a very proud mum with a happy daughter.
