Our lounge is finished!
Well as finished as it is going to be anytime soon. I want
some more cushions but I am just going to add to my collection gradually.

Eventually I would also like built in shelves in the alcoves you can see but that won’t be happening for a while now. Poor Simon the carpenter needs a break!
One day there will also be a log burner fitted into the little hole in the fireplace.
But for now this is it and I am happy.Here is a run down of everything and where we got it from.
Floors and Walls
The walls are painted in Dulux cotton white.
The flooring is the riffle oak laminate flooring from floormaker. I am so impressed with this flooring. It was only £8 per meter. I love how it looks in the room.
Curtains
The curtains are from Ikea and cost £20. The curtain pole is also from Ikea.
Sofa and Throws
The Sofa we had already and it is the Espirit sofa from Cargo. The two grey throws on the bottom cushions are from the range. They are called Lush throws and were £6.99 in the sale. I have used two throws to cover the sofa seat pads. The cream throw covering the arm of the chair was £3.00 from Wilkinson’s.
Side Table
This is the Hol side table from Ikea. We had this already as we used it as a laundry basket in our ensuite bathroom before we redecorated. It is currently £16 on the Ikea website.
The vase on the side table is from the 99p shop as is the little glass candle.
The lantern is from Store 21 and was reduced to £10.
Cushions
The fluffy cream cushion is from Wilkinson’s and cost £6. As it was reduced.
The grey cushion cover on the right is from Ikea and cost £3. I filled it with two cushion pads that I had already.
The other grey cushion on the left is from ikea and this was £2.50.
The heart cushion in the middle we had already and I can’t remember where this was from! :-s
As I said I will continue to add to my cushion collection and I hope to fill the whole sofa with cushions eventually.
Grey Rug
The grey rug is from Ikea and was £80.
Ceiling light
The ceiling lamp shade was from Ikea and cost £17.
Art
The three pictures along the back wall are from the day we spent at the elephant sanctuary on honeymoon.
The pictures above the fireplace are what we had already in this room. The top S and N wooden framed print was a wedding present. The Love canvas below was also a gift from a friend but on our engagement. The tall black and white canvas is one of our wedding pictures as we came out of the church.
The wicker heart I had already. I have no idea where this was from.
The final canvas is a picture of both mine and nick’s family at our wedding. I’m not sure this looks very good here. It’s the wrong height as we put it on an existing hook and it looks too small. Eventually I think I will change this for something bigger but for now it is ok.
TV Stand
This is our old coffee table. We purchased it from cargo ages ago and I think it was £100 as it was ex display. We will be using this as a TV stand for the time being until my built in shelves come to fruition.
Baby Bouncer
The baby bouncer is the Capella from Mamas and Papas and was £39.99. We purchased it from the baby show.
The basket next to the bouncer is from Ikea and was £13. This houses all Ralph’s dog toys.
Thats it! We tried to do this room as cheaply as possible. It was our last room to do and we didn’t plan on doing anything to it but it got so dusty when the building work was going on that we had to. Im so glad we did though it means it’s all nice and clean for when the baby gets here.
