As the dark nights draw in I find myself dreaming of summer holidays. Rosalie starts school in September 2018. Next year will be our last chance to book a family holiday during school time. I want to make the most of it. I’ve started to think of destinations and where the best place to holiday with children is. We’ll be travelling with small children, a 3 year old and a 1 year old so there is lots to consider.

It’s most likely that we’ll return to Spain. The Costa del sol in particular. We’ve been to Marbella 3 times since we met and twice in the last few years. Here’s a few reasons why we like it so much and why it’s the perfect place to holiday with children.

Weather

Depending on when you go, Spain will nearly always be warm and sunny. After a cold British winter, all you need is a little sun on your back. What I like about Spain is that it isn’t too hot. You can still run around after the kids without sweat dripping down your back. It’s great for the kids as long as you regularly apply the proper sun protection you can relax knowing they won’t get burned.

Friendly people

Spanish people are so friendly. They love children and often talk to them. They always make families feel welcome. Everyone is Spain talks English. This makes your daily life on holiday so much easier. You can communicate easily and ask for anything you or your family may need without having to worry.

Short flight time

The flight time from the uk to Malaga is 2 hours and 45 minutes. When flying with small children it can go one way or the other. Knowing that the flight is relatively short gives me so much peace of mind. I know that even if the flight is horrendous it won’t last too long!

Cheap

Although Marbella has become a fashionable holiday destination for the rich and famous. With towie stars holiday in Marbs on the regular. You can find package deals to the costs del sol really reasonably priced. You can take a look at a few Spain holidays here.

Something for everyone

Marbella really has something for everyone. You have Marbella old town with its beautiful old Spanish buildings, authentic tapas restaurants and nursery boutiques that sell the most gorgeous children’s clothes. Puerte Banus is the party place. It has beach clubs, designer shops but also lots of family restaurants. In between is the golden mile where lots of gorgeous villas look over the beach. It’s a gorgeous walk with lots of play grounds and parks every few hundred meters. It’s perfect for kids.

It’s nice

Thr golden mile is beautiful. We every restaurant you come across serves gorgeous food that caters for the whole family. I don’t think we have ever had a bad meal. The standards are so high.

Everything is in such good condition. The play parks, toilets and beaches are clean so you can let the kids play without a worry.

Have you started to think about where you’ll holiday next year yet? Where will you go?

As a British tourist, you definitely can’t go wrong with Spain and like you say, it’s a fantastic destination for families. The boys and i are off to Fuerteventura next Easter with my mum and her partner and also my sister and niece so we are super excited for that as it’ll be the boys’ first time abroad! xx
