A few weeks ago we held Rosalie’s ‘the little mermaid’ 3rd birthday party. I still can’t believe my baby is that old. She isn’t a toddler anymore and next week starts preschool 5 days a week. SAY WHAT?!? She’s practically fully grown!
We were looking at party decor ideas on Pinterest and stumbled across a mermaid party. Rosalie’s favourite Disney Princess is Ariel so it seemed like the perfect fit. ‘The Little Mermaid’ 3rd Birthday Party theme was set and this mama went to town! I wanted to make it really special for her and I hope I did her proud.
We had a small birthday party with a few of Rosalie’s friend’s from preschool. The girl’s made mermaid crowns, bedazzled themselves at the mermaid beauty station before having photos in the mermaid photo booth. We also played a fishing game, pass the parcel and pin the Sebastian on Ariel.
We had lots of yummy sea themed food – I’ll be doing a whole separate post on the food I made if you are interested in doing your own mermaid, under the sea or beach party. I had so much fun putting it all together – some ideas were found via Pinterest and some we thought of ourselves.
I made the party bags myself and filled each bag with cake, a packet of haribo sweeties, a packet of buttons and lots of Ariel themed goodies in The little Mermaid Party Gift Value Pack from Disney Party.
Rosalie had the most wonderful day celebrating turning 3. It was so lovely to see her running around with all her best friends.

6th September 2017 at 8:51 PMAh, this looks like such a fun party! My sister borrowed one of my little girls ‘Ariel’ dolls to make an Ariel cake for her own daughters birthday party. It was really effective! Happy birthday Rosalie!
