Pregnancy Update – 9 and 10 weeks

Pregnancy update - 9 and 10 weeks - roseyhome - pregnancy, pregnant, baby, mummy, parenting, pregnancy after miscarriage, pregnant with baby no.2

Oops! Again I accidentally skipped a week. It’s been a busy few weeks, and I am not entirely sure how I managed to miss one, but it happened. Not much has changed in the last few weeks to be honest. I don’t seem to have too many symptoms going one. Except you know feeling nauseous and getting fat!

We had an eventful week 9 of pregnancy with my first midwife appointment and another scan with the recurrent miscarriage clinic. Baby is still there and looking good. It was my last scan with them as in two weeks’ time I should be having a 12 week scan. I say should as I haven’t actually got a date yet. I didn’t see my midwife until 9 weeks in this pregnancy and I hadn’t seen a doctor before that so the scan hadn’t been booked. Hopefully I will receive my 12 week scan date in the next few days.

How far along? 10 weeks and 4 days

Due date? 6th May 2017

How is baby doing? The tiny baby floating inside me is now equipped with all of it’s internal organs., the heart being almost fully developed. The tail is gone, and the webbing between the fingers and toes has disappeared. The eyes are moving from the side of the head to the front, where they will eventually be located. The baby’s ears are getting their final shape enabling the baby to hear the world. Baby is preparing to make some noise, with the diaphragm emerging this week. This little baby is now the size of a date. It is 1.22 inches long and weighs 4 grams.

Maternity clothes: Last week I purchased some maternity jeans. I didn’t buy any when I was pregnant with Rosalie as I just carried on wearing my high wasted leggings. Oh my goodness they are the best things EVER! I bought the under bump skinny jeans from Asos. They are so comfortable. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t wear maternity jeans.

Stretch marks: No stretch marks yet. I have been a bit lax on the body butter application. I must start to do this every night.

Sleep: I haven’t had a problem falling asleep and I have only been waking up once in the early morning to go for a wee.

Best moment this week: We had another scan this week. The baby has changed so much in the last two weeks. It looked like a little blob in the first scan but in this scan it looked like a real baby. It had definite arms and legs and I could see the umbilical cord so hopefully baby is all attached properly.

Miss anything? It’s not been too bad to be honest as I have been eating most things I want to. Pate is an easy lunch in our house and Rosalie always asks for it so it is a little annoying that I can’t have it with her. I have been buying mackerel pate instead but it’s not quite the same.

Movement: No

Gender: No signs of gender yet.

Labour signs: No

Symptoms: No real new symptoms this week. I still feel nauseous in the mornings but I haven’t actually been sick. I want to eat everything in sight and I seem to be continually grazing which is not good for my waist line! My little boobies are still growing and bump is definitely getting bigger.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Only over eating!

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy

How I feel? I am feeling positive. The second scan has really reassured me that things are going well that this baby is going to be sticking around. As we near our 12 week scan I am getting anxious as it means we will be able to start telling people. This scares me a little in case something goes wrong again.

Looking forward to: The 12 week scan. We will officially have made it. I think Nick will be more on board with the pregnancy then which will be nice. I feel like he is not allowing himself to think this is happening until then. We will also be able to start thinking about the building work we need to do before the baby arrives too and start making nursery plans. I also need to start filming my announcement video. I keep putting it off as we have been in this situation before and it is all come tumbling down. Shit is getting real now though!

Under bump skinnies were my fave too! I wore them well after I had my kids too! Try topshop Leigh ones out 🙂

Ooo! I’ll have a look at those. After trying them I am like why doesn’t everyone wear these? I can’t believe I survived my last pregnancy without any. I literally lived in leggings. xx

It must be very reassuring to have regular scans and I’m sure you’ll feel a little more relaxed once you make 12 weeks.

I started eating pate the other day after going without. Rubbish that you have to avoid stuff isn’t it? I still haven’t eaten a curry after avoiding for reflux! x
