Pregnancy Update – 11 weeks

Pregnancy update - 11 weeks - roseyhome - pregnancy, pregnant, baby, mummy, parenting, pregnancy after miscarriage, pregnant with baby no.2

I am still pregnant! I still can’t quite believe I have made it this far. I thought I was 11 week before I had the first miscarriage but I have actually seen this baby twice now and all is good. At the last scan it was growing as it should. I have less than a week until our 12 week scan and I cant’s wait to get there!

How far along? 11 weeks and 5 days

Due date? 6th May 2017

How is baby doing? Baby is now this size of a Fig and is busy moving around my uterus. This week is the beginning of a three week period where the baby will double in length and go through a bit of a growth spurt. There are little finger nails growing on the ends of baby’s little fingers. This seems crazy as I still don’t look that pregnant. Just a little fat! This week blood starts to flow between the uterus and the foetus and the placenta will start functioning. The baby looks more human than ever with a visible neck, straighter back and thicker skin. Although the head is still almost as big as the rest of baby’s body. The risk of congenital defects becomes less now as all the baby’s internal organs are fully formed and are less likely to be affected by outside influences.

Maternity clothes: Those dream maternity jeans I told you about last week have developed a hole in. Right by the faux fly, so I have had to send them back. Im not sure if I should I have bought a bigger size in the first place. I bought a 10 rather than a 12. I’ve decided to give them one last shot by buying the bigger size and see how I get on.

I am currently living in leggings and shirts and tights and jumper dresses.

Stretch marks: No Stretch Marks yet. I still havnt got into a routine of my body butter application and I really need to. I managed to avoid stretch marks last time round and I’d like to do the same again if I can.

Sleep: My regular 4 am toilet trip is still happening. I have been really tired this week so I have fallen asleep without too many problems. I am finding I am waking up very hot in the night though, my husband on the other hand thinks it is freezing!

Best moment this week: Nothing too exciting has happened this week. I guess the best moment was getting our letter with our 12 week scan date. It’s only a week away now and I feel like we are very nearly in safe territory. Just hang in there little bean.

Miss anything? Hot baths! A luke warm bath is just not the one! I have compensated for this by buying lots of gorgeous smelling lush products, All Lush products are safe to use in pregnancy. Its making me feel slightly better about the warm water.

Movement: No, Although last night I did think I felt a little ripple.

Gender: No, although we are going to have an early gender scan. I have provisionally penned it in for the end of November. It all seems to be going so quick now. I’ll be 20 weeks by Christmas!

Labour signs: No

Symptoms: I haven’t really had many symptoms at all. I did have a retching fit on Sunday morning but thankfully I hadn’t eaten any breakfast so it was just a lot of bile. TMI sorry! No other bouts of sickness. Just a feeling of Nausea if I don’t eat. My boobs are rather large. Way bigger than they were at this stage with Rosalie. Although strangely the milk that was there now seems to have dried up.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Early mornings and those god forsaken pregnancy max tablets!

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy

How I feel? I feel good. I’m starting to feel like everything is going to be ok this time around.

Looking forward to: The 12 week scan next week. It will be so good to know that the baby is still there and developing as it should. I can’t wait to actually enjoy this pregnancy and to start planning for the baby’s arrival! We have a lot to do.
