A few weekends ago in preparation for Halloween. My little family and I trundled off to our local farm to pick a pumpkin.
We went early to try and beat the crowds but it was still surprisingly busy. It was the first time we have ever been pumpkin picking and what a lovely thing to do it is. It was so nice to get out into the crisp, autumn air. I have a habit of just wanting to lie on the sofa, under a blanket and eat food at the moment.
Rosalie loved running up and down the rows of pumpkins. She picked the biggest pumpkin she could find which we then had to wheel to the car in our push chair. Oh the memories! I hope she’ll remember this day. We bought some lovely sausages and nice bread at the farm shop and then headed home for some yummy sausage sandwiches.
It was the perfect morning.
The best thing is that every time I ask Rosalie what we did at the farm she says ‘ Pick ‘a’ pumpkin’ in the cutest little voice! It melts me every time…
