Grocery Haul and Meal Plan – 20th June 2016

As you know I like to chop and change where I do my food shop each week. Some week’s I’ll order online, other weeks I’ll go in store. Most of the time, I will shop at either Sainsbury’s or Tesco’s, just because I know I can get everything I need there. Occasionally I’ll go to Aldi. This week we shopped at Iceland. A supermarket I have not done our weekly shop at before and I’m not entirely sure why.
I guess it was because I thought it was just frozen food. We only have 3 small freezer drawers in our freezer so I am limited as to how much frozen food I can buy. It isn’t just frozen food and I was surprised out how much fresh food I could buy. For us, there was not quite enough fresh vegetables on offer as there were a few veg on my list that I couldn’t find.
Channel mum gave us £50’s worth of Iceland vouchers to spend and I am ashamed to say it was not enough! I got totally carried away and bought so many things I wouldn’t normally buy. Goof things though!
I did get A LOT for my money and I made some great savings too. The fish in particular, is really good value. Now for the taste test…
Our dinner meal plan for this week is:::
Monday – Green Thai Curry
Tuesday – Pork belly strips and sweet potato fries
Wednesday – Nick’s Mum’s for dinner
Friday – Waygu Burgers with sweet potato fries
Saturday – Pizza
Sunday – BBQ
You can take a look at this week’s Iceland grocery haul with the ingredients I bought to make these meals over on my YouTube channel.
