How to SAVE Money on your Groceries and Meal Plan – 3rd April 2016

This week’s Grocery Haul is a little different. In a bid to save money Nick and I have decided to NOT do a food shop one week a month. We spend about £50 on week on food so by not doing a  grocery haul we can transfer that £50 straight into our savings.
I have planned our meals for this week using ingredients we already have in the cupboards. I thought I would show you these ingredients so you can see how we will do it.
This week’s meal plan is:::
Monday – Homemade Nando’s with baked sweet potato
Tuesday – Chicken, Sweet potato and Spinach Curry
Wednesday – Nick’s Mum’s House
Thursday – Steak and Chips
Friday – Out with friends
Saturday – BBQ at a birthday party
Sunday – Roast Dinner
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. You can take a look at my How to SAVE on your Groceries video over on my YouTube Channel. There you will find all the ingredients from my freezer and store cupboard that I used to make these meals. I think this is a really easy way to save money. Thank you Kerry from Oh So Amelia for giving me the idea! Would you consider doing this? How do you save money?

    I try to do this every few weeks, only buy milk/fruit etc. and then use up whatever I have in the cupboards/freezer for the week. It works really well!

    This is a great idea – I spend far too much on the food shopping so this would really help me! x

    Homemade nandos sounds amazing, we are trying to meal plan more so that we can plan around our youngest son's allergies

    This is such an ingenious idea. I do find that if I get caught I can usually rustle up a decent meal from things I find at the back of the cupboard and the freezer.

      There are always things lurking in the cupboards you can use and such a good way to declutter them x
