Grocery Haul and Meal Plan – 29th February 2016

There are no new dishes on the agenda this week.

The salmon fritters I adapted last week were a total FAIL. They tasted really bland. I learnt it’s not always good to go with the flow and make stuff up as you go along. Just as I was thinking I was some kind of Jamie Oliver. I am not giving up though and I am going to try the recipe again this week with Tuna instead of Salmon and a lot more seasoning!

The sweet potato rosti with bacon was a hit. So much so that we are having it again this week. I will make sure I blog the recipe so you can try it too.

Our meal plan for this week is:::

Monday – Stir Fry for Rosalie and Nick

Tuesday – Tuna and sweet corn fritters with spinach and poached egg

Wednesday – Pork Belly with sweet potato chips and vegetables

Thursday – Sweet potato rosti with bacon

Friday – Pizza

Saturday – Takeaway

Sunday – Chicken Curry

You can take a look at our weekly food shop and all the ingredients we bought to make these meals over on my YouTube channel.

Haha, yes sometimes I go 'off piste' with cooking and it either works wonderfully and I think I'm Nigella, or it's a complete disaster!

Sweet potato rosti and bacon sounds lovely. I love anything with sweet potato and that's a great budget dish too.

I definitely have weeks where I do not food plan and buy each day. Not always fun as its a juggle with time. I have been meaning to do a meal plan now for the week for so long. I must do it. Thanks for reminding me. x
