I have put together a Valentines Day gift basket for Rosalie. It’s becoming a tradition of ours on all celebratory holidays. I didn’t want to go overboard, it’s only valentines day after all but I will be making one for her daddy so I though my little princess deserved one too. A little something to make her V day extra special.
Most of these bits and pieces I picked up in the after Christmas sales or in the card shop. January is a tight month after all.
Chocolates
Since christmas Rosalie has been loving chocolate. I think ‘Chock-Lit’ might be the 2nd most used word in her vocabulary after ‘more’. We have been only been giving Rosie a little bit at a time so her Christmas stash seems to have lasted forever. Her supplies have now dwindled. Every girl needs a little of chocolate on valentines day.
Marshmallow lolly
Rosalie loves Marshmallow! The soft sweets are perfect for teething mouths. I saw this in the card factory whilst I was picking up my Valentine’s day cards and had to include it.
Guess How much I love you book
I can’t take the credit for this as my mum picked it up for Rosalie in the M&S Sale. I have never actually read this book so I am really looking forward to reading it to Rosalie. It has ‘love you’ in the title so makes a lovely valentines day gift for little ones.
Toot toot farm animal – Pig
As you know Rosalie was given the toot toot farm for Christmas. I didn’t want to buy all the farm animals at once as I thought it would be a nice thing for us to collect. The pig was actually on offer in our local Sainsbury’s and was £5 instead of the usual £7.99 so I snapped it up as part of her valentines day surprise. Its pink after all!
Lush Bubble Bar
I picked up some lush treats for daddy as part of his present and decided to get this cute ladybird one for Rosalie too. Lush products are all natural and are suitable for children, pregnant women, pretty much everyone, so I don’t need to worry about them affecting Rosalie’s sensitive skin.
Love heart pyjamas
I actually bought Rosalie these as part of her advent basket so she could wear them at Christmas. I struggled to find a good pair of Christmas pyjamas in early December. Later in the month I found a better pair so I thought I would put this pair by for valentines day. These pyjama’s were from Asda. They are a plain fair isle pattern in red with love hearts, perfect for V day.
Love heart dress
This was another item I picked up at Christmas. Rosalie had so many festive outfits for the Christmas period. She did wear this but not that much. I picked up this dress is Morrisons. It still fits Rosalie and the simple red and cream love heart design means it will work for Valentines Day too. A recycled valentines day outfit. I’m so frugal!
Will you be buying your little one a valentines day gift this year? If you are putting together a valentines day gift basket I hope this gives you some ideas.

6th February 2016 at 2:20 PMI'm a bit cynical and think Valentine's Day is just a marketeers dream so although my husband and I send cards and normally exchange a small gift (flowers etc), I wouldn't give anything to the kids as, for me, that's not what VD is about. HOWEVER, this is super cute and Rosalie will absolutely love it i'm sure. Guess How Much I Love You is one of my favourite children's books and that dress is so cute! x
