Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

It was one of my new year’s resolutions to come up with a super duper skin care routine. One that would banish all spots and leave my skin feeling lovely. A tall order by any means, however, I am prepared to splurge. I don’t mind investing in great skincare. I am all for a luxury bathroom experience, and I don’t mind paying as long as it works!
The first on my list to try was the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. This brand has been flying around the blogosphere for a while but this is the first time I’ve tried anything by them. They are an all-natural skin care brand which really appeals to me. I feel like what is the point in eating clean and worrying about what food you put into your body to then follow it up by rubbing your face in a load of chemicals? You feel me?

I was very excited to try this cleanser. I truly truly wanted to love it. Mainly because the packaging is gorgeous and I knew it would look great on display in my bathroom. But I don’t know, I just don’t.
Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with this cleanser. It cleans my face well, doesn’t break me out and leaves my skin feeling super soft after use. Reading that back maybe I have been too hard on it. It cleans my face and leaves my skin feeling REALLY soft. I mean, what more can a cleanser do?
I just think I expected a little more. Something special. At £28 a bottle, it is not cheap.
It’s a gel like texture which I wasn’t sure of at first, but when you rub it into the skin it turns into an oil. I actually love this about the product. It takes about 30 seconds to transition, and it means that you really work the product into your skin before removing with a hot cloth.
I’m still on the fence about whether to repurchase the cleansing gel. I wasn’t a fan at first, but the more I use it the more I grow to love it. Perhaps I need to finish of the bottle and then decide.Have you tried the Oskia Renaissance cleaning gel? I am tempted to  try an Aesop cleanser next. Which do you prefer? Do you have any cleanser recommendations?

I think good products never come cheap. This sounds like a great one but as you say, the price is a bit steep. I, for one, would not pay that money for a cleanser.xx

I have never tried this before, I never use creams on my face though! The price for that is a bit steep to be fair though which is a shame

I haven't tried this but am on the hunt for a good cleanser. It's difficult because I do believe you get what you pay for most of the time but I'd hate to spend a fortune on something to find it's not very good x

I think if you want something good and to work it's something that has to be paid for and it probably won't be cheap. It's one of my new years resolutions to find one too! Will keep an eye for another skin care review x

I agree with all the other people that say you have to pay the price for a good face product, but i completely agree with you when you say for £28 you expect it to be amazing and have a glowing face haha! I wish i was more routine with cleaning my face, i tend to just use my garnier cleansing water as it leaves my skin feeling clean, i used to use clinique but found it didn't do anything different to the cheaper face products! I still love it though! 🙂 I will look into this one! x

I use Micellar water first and then go in with my cleanser. It is a nice think to do, because it's a bit luxe I feel like it's a treat. I'm taking a little bit of me time before bed. X

I haven't tried this brand, in fact I haven't heard of this brand before now! I used to splurge on good cleansers but that's stopped since having children, I just use tesco stuff. My favourite always used to the the Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish, my skin was amazing when I used it!

It's a great brand. Especially as the products are all natural. I did the same but decided it's time mama treated herself xx

It is pricey and like you, if I'm paying that much for it then I want to really LOVE it. I'm using the Simple cleanser at the moment which is cheap and cheerful but does the job. I don't think it's perfect for my skin type but it's the first one I've tried so I'll stick with it for now.

I totally know you get what you pay for, but I just can't afford expensive products. My alternative is No.7, I really love their stuff and think it's reasonably priced. I often ask for more pricey products for my birthday or christmas, so this can go on my list!! xx
