House Renovation – Utility room – Part 2

The units have all been fitted to the walls of the utillity and the worktops
and sink are in.

We are just waiting for Waz the plumber to attach the waste
to the sink. We had abit of a trauma here as the Ikea under sink waste system
didn’t fit standard UK pipework. I had to call Ikea and ask if they had an
adapter. After a few long telephone calls and far too many abba songs, I was
told what part was needed to connect the sink waste to the pipework. I am going
to the plumbing shop at lunch today to pick up the part.

Hopefully then Waz can finally finish doing the waste under
the sink, We will then be able to fit our washing machine when it is delivered.
Yey! After months of no washing machine this is a very exciting moment!

That took longer than usual, but you were able to find the part that will connect your pretty sink to the rest of your plumbing fixtures. There are some fixtures, most of them imported, that do not easily fit in with the rest of the house. Checking out with the shop before you pay could help prevent this problem. Good luck with the rest of your renovation!
