Style – The Sun had got his hat on…..

I am aware that this is supposed to be a style blog and I am yet to post anything fashion related. This is going to change! As you know England experienced a mini heat wave last weekend, on the 1st of October temperatures rocketed to 30 degrees in some areas, Crazy! Lucky for me this was no different in Oxford and so I took full advantage and wore one of my summer frocks one last time before its time to squirrel them away for winter.

So as the sun shone, Ralph and I decided to go for a walk around our local nature reserve.

This ensemble is made up of items all purchased from the high street. It just goes to show you can get a vintage feel  without scouring vintage shops for hours ( I could happily spend a day doing this but know that it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!) or having to save up for those special reproduction pieces. I Love mixing my favourite vintage finds with bits and pieces I have taken a shine to on my lunchtime stroll through town.
Floral Playsuit: Matalan
Tan Rose Belt: New look
Cats eye Sunglasses/ T bar sandals: Both Urban Outfitters
After a quick sit down, we were homeward bound. It was such a lovely day, I cant believe its only a week later and I’m already snuggled up in big socks and a cardi. I’m sorry to say that it but I think the cold has officially set in. The days of getting away without a coat are now behind us. At least mother nature’s last hurrah gave us a chance to wave goodbye to the summer in style!
